Zinc alloy die casting has been applied more and more in our daily life and production. However, due to various reasons, the defects of zinc alloy die castings are inevitable now. What are the causes of zinc alloy defects? How to deal with it?

There are many reasons for the defects in zinc alloy die casting, which are mainly due to packing gas, improper selection of gate position and diversion shape, improper design of runner shape, too high gate speed, poor exhaust, too deep die cavity position, too much coating, not burnt out before filling, furnace charge not dry and excessive machining allowance.

According to these reasons, we can choose the gate location and diversion shape which is conducive to the gas discharge in the mold cavity. The cross-section of the gate should be larger than the cross-sectional area of the inner gate as much as possible. The thickness of the inner gate should be increased. Finally, the overflow groove and exhaust passage should be set to fill part of the cavity. The exhaust plug should be set at the deep cavity to increase the amount of exhaust and coating through splicing Clean and dry. In strict accordance with the smelting process, adjust the injection speed, adjust the transition point between slow injection speed and fast injection speed, reduce pouring temperature and increase specific pressure.
